In 2005 Periplum attracted Made in Brighton, Winchester Hat Fair
& South Hill Park Arts Centre to commission a new outdoor project:
Arquiem. Inspired by Browning’s poem Porpyhria’s
Lover, the show explores public space and entertainment as
a primal spectacle. The crowd becomes a mob witnessing the execution
of a boy who’s murdered his love. With powerful performances and
trademark intense visuals it received fantastic audience responses
in Bracknell, Winchester, Knaresborough & London. The show continues
to tour. |
