Witching Hour nomination

Periplum's The Witching Hour has been nominated for 'Outstanding Contribution to the Arts' in Wirral Life Magazine.

From the stories & memories of park rangers, council workers, youth groups and the brilliant spirit of people across the Wirral, myths & legends of local life were shaped into a large-scale outdoor theatre show in the beautiful surroundings of Birkenhead park.

The Witching Hour was part of Wirral Borough of Culture 2019. It was free for the masses to attend, and they came in their thousands…

In May Periplum created an act of wonder as part of Hull 2017's secret Land of Green Ginger project. Bringing to life a local legend, '7 Alleys' took place in the heart of East Hull, the culmination of a 10-month process working with the amazing communities of Preston Road. Audience followed a horse-and-carriage in search of the magical 7th Alley portal that opens at midnight. Here's a little footage, more to follow.
