2009 is Periplum’s 10th year and we’re creating a new city-specific performance trail with the support of White Night Brighton & Hove, Reading South Street and Brighton Festival.

1000 revolutions per moment is inspired by the transformational power of music. You can help to inspire the creation by sharing your experiences of music & personal change through the 1000 revs web interface on this site. We’ll be looking for participants to sign up for this odyssey of autosuggestion so stay tuned.

International tolling

Periplum’s successful tour of Mexico in late 2008 saw The Bell receive critical & popular acclaim. We have been invited by The Anglo-Mexican Foundation to return to tour the states of Mexico in 2010 as part of the country’s Bi-centenary of Independence celebrations. We will also have new UK dates for the show next year following the launch of 1000 revolutions.

Periplum’s Imaginative Space programme

We are extending Periplum’s educational work in the UK & Europe with the launch of our Imaginative Space programme for performing arts students & communities, specialising in adventurous site-responsive & site-specific projects in unusual spaces. Contact us to discuss ideas for special projects.

In Mexico we led 2 exciting site-specific workshop projects culminating in inspirational public performances by local students & artists. The roofless Iglesia Anglicana in Mexico City and an abandoned coffee plantation in Vera Cruz became our venues. You can see images of the works in our Gallery pages.
