Periplum’s Trailblazer Carriage is a beautifully restored 19th century Brougham carriage pulled by an electric-powered towing vehicle, bringing together historic heritage and modern sustainability. Take your seat inside, listen to an immersive soundtrack featuring community voices, and go on a journey of the imagination.

The carriage has featured in both indoor exhibitions and outdoor events as part of the company’s Trailblazers heritage project, celebrating inspirational women across Tees Valley. It has acted as an immersive cinema, a mobile listening station and a portable vocal booth for people to record their favourite local places to visit while taking a ride.

The carriage will be touring throughout 2026-27 and is adaptable to different themes, projects and events.
